EVAC 3C Evacuation unit

Lifts are one of the most reliable devices in buildings but like most building services they rely on a power supply. If something would happen to interrupt the power supply during travel what will happen to the lift? The answer is it will stop unless you have Ziehl-Abegg’s EVAC 3C evacuation unit installed.

The EVAC 3C monitors the mains power supply and if one or more supply phases fail the inverter is disconnected from the supply network. The battery power is connected and the inverter switches to emergency mode, the unit can alternatively connect to a UPS system instead of using battery power. It ensures enough power to drive the lift car to the nearest floor.

Using this automatic system, it means passengers are evacuated quickly and safely without needing to wait for service crews to arrive and mechanically move the lift.
